Plant Care

In case you misplace your care card provided at purchase, you can find all care instructions here!

Orchid Plants

  1. Allow your orchid plant to nearly dry out before watering. If exposed (e.g. no loose rocks on top), soil should essentially be dry to the touch.

  2. Water the soil and roots only once a week. Do not water the leaves.

  3. Place the orchid plant in a bright area with indirect light.

Placement Suggestions in Your Home:

  • by a kitchen window

  • in your bathroom (orchid plants love the the humidity from showers)

Succulents, Money Tree & Hoyas

  1. Succulents and Hoyas need to be dry between waterings.

  2. Only water till soil is moist to the touch - do not over water.

  3. Fertilizer: use a weak solution every 2-3 weeks (example: miracle grow).

  4. These plants prefer warmer temperatures above 50°F.

Placement Suggestions in Your Home:

  • South to South Eastern light exposure - bright but not direct light

Cut orchids

  1. Cut the orchids stems at a sharp angle and place in vase.

  2. Add flower preservatives or a pinch of salt and sugar in the water.

  3. Change the water every three days to promote maximum shelf life.

Air plants

  1. Water your plant when you first receive it by completely submerging in water for 20-30 minutes.

  2. Allow your plant to dry upside down so excess water from soaking does not remain in crevices between leaves.

  3. Mist plant every 4-5 days.

  4. Generally place in indirect sunlight for best growth. Some plants may do better in low to moderate light.

Reminder:

If using a Glass Terrarium, do not place your globes directly in front of a window in direct sun. (Remember the glass will intensify the sunlight and the heat)

Lucky Bamboo

  1. Arrange Lucky Bamboo in your vase or pot allowing the loose pebbles to secure the base of the bamboo.

  2. Add water to around 0.5 in. above the roots.

  3. Change water at least once a week to prevent rotting.

  4. Keep your plant out of direct sunlight and in a bright open area.

Tips:

  • Lucky Bamboo grows best in temperatures between 65°F and 90°F.

  • Rinse your vase, pebbles, and plant every water change.
